Coaches look. Every time. Your accounts are either helping you get recruited or quietly taking you off the board.
Checking an athlete’s social media is standard practice in college recruiting. It takes a staffer ten minutes, and it happens before the offer, not after. Coaches aren’t looking for a highlight reel there—they’re looking for reasons to say no. Character, maturity, how you talk about teammates and officials, and whether you’ll be a problem on campus.
The good news: social media is one of the few parts of recruiting entirely within your control. Handled well, it becomes another reason to recruit you.
Screenshots live forever. Deleting a post after a coach has seen it doesn’t undo the impression.
